Private pharmaceutical manufacturer, providing a dynamic range of products and services is seeking a Channel Manager who will provide Go-Live activation support for all marketing activities as per the brand portfolio, with focus on strategic planning and implementation of visibility, merchandising, consumer promotions and events based on market needs

Minimum Requirements

  • Business or Marketing Degree or IMM Diploma
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in a Trade Marketing and or Channel Position
  • Marketing and Key Account experience will be advantageous

Key Job Outputs:

  • Handling market size, trends and growth drivers, competitors, customers, shoppers and regulatory understanding in the external environment
  • Managing the business strategy alignment, segmentation, sales and customer performance, SWOT analysis, innovation trade go-to market opportunities, distribution gap closure and planogram planning in the internal environment
  • Managing category opportunities and challenges, category strategy reviews, category performance, pricing strategy, customer and channel plans
  • Handling communication and activation, trade promotion plan such as co-op activities development and ROI analysis
  • Analysing and understanding relevant market and sales data to gain insights including track performance versus targets
  • Monitoring competitor intelligence reports including forecasting input
  • Leading and working with cross functional teams
  • Managing strategic sales and channel to successfully implement channel and customer requirements
  • Managing the marketing budget, brief agencies and implementing successful campaigns
  • Working in close collaboration with marketing, customer and operational teams to achieve the growth targets through channel and turning brand strategies into commercial propositions
  • Managing the shopper proposition and use shopper understanding to deliver co-ordinated, innovative and cross functional sales value to the customer via customer thought leadership plans to grow overall categories
  • Managing the trade go to market plan for new product launches
  • Responsible for all the selling activities from brand instore activations, distribution gap closure to trade promotion plans across the portfolios for the assigned category and channel
