Job Overview
Purpose:
A manufacturing and designing company is seeking a Head of Retail who will be responsible for inspiring leader who leads the Retail Area Managers to deliver the strategic, commercial and operational plan and sales for the retail division, with a focus on customer service, delivering the results on plan and in budget, and being a role model for the leadership behaviours and company values
Key Job Outputs:
- Delivering commercial growth within the existing stores, with a focus on customer experience and staff development
- Flexibility to adapt to the culture and comply with the requirements of the buying and planning teams
- Contribute to the formulation of the retail strategy, and lead the team to implement this consistently across the business
- Coach, motivate and engage the retail sales team to deliver the operational plan
- Recruiting and manage talent, creating a high performance and development culture
- Responsible for planning and executing of new store openings, including the fixturing and maintenance
- Accountable for full compliance across the division
- Compliance with legal requirements, including mall regulations
- Safety and security requirements
- Instore inventory control and counts
- Adherence to prescribed layout and merchandising directives
- Execute in-store strategy and ensure an amazing shopping experience
- Administer the lease agreements for company stores
- Work closely and collaboratively with the wider leadership team improving communications between retail and the support centre
- Lead a team of Area Managers
- Ensure current knowledge of competitors and external factors impacting delivery of sales and growth

- Ensuring expense match’s forecast

- Vehicle inspections submitted once per quarter
- Tablets inspection once per month

Qualifications:
- Retail / Operations / Sales / Marketing diploma or relevant degree
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years management experience
- Sales Rep experience in FMCG is essential
- Extensive sales knowledge of major chains and independent stores
