Purpose:

A global pharmaceutical company focused on agile and sustainable growth and complex generics is seeking a Production Pharmacist in Eyedrop Steriles who will provide best practice daily manufacturing pharmaceutical services to manage work flow, production, document procedure compliance so as to ensure that safe and efficacious medicines are manufactured

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree
  • Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council
  • Microsoft Office Suite Office
  • 3 years’ pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
  • 1 to 2 years sterile manufacturing experience
  • cGMP skills
  • Understanding the requirements of the relevant acts and regulations governing pharma

 

Key Job Outputs:

General

  • Comply with cGMP, SAHPRA guidelines, SOP’s and adhere to batch documentation instructions at all the times
  • Ensure that all sterile eye drops are manufactured in a safe, efficient and effective manner and in compliance with all regulatory bodies
  • Ensure that all operational activities and stages comply with company procedures, policies and regulatory GMP requirements
  • Coordinate planning and organising of the manufacturing and filling processes in manufacturing areas
  • Perform manufacturing, filling, leak detection and packing line checks as per procedure
  • Monitors compliance to GMP in the production areas
  • Perform line openings and closures in manufacturing and packing lines
  • Ensure that cGMP and GDP requirements and good housekeeping are in place and adhered to production in accordance to quality standards
  • Ensure that all production operators are trained for the task that they are performing
  • Create and update SOPs on a continuous basis and ensure the operational activities comply with standard operating procedures
  • Ensure that the working area and operators comply to GMP standards
  • Ensure that regulatory compliance safety, health and environmental standards
  • Handle non-conforming production and packaging batches
  • Ensure that corrective actions have been taken for non–conforming products
  • Investigate the cause of non -conforming product and ensure that the adequate steps are taken to prevent re-occurrences
  • Take responsibility for a state of audit readiness within the department
  • Conduct monthly self-inspection audits as per procedure
  • Auditing batch documents for QA closure and releases
  • Assist in preparing annual product quality reviews
  • Initiate and close off CAPAs and non-conformances
