Purpose:

A Fintech company is seeking a Business Manager who will work closely with the Managing Director, senior leadership, and management, contributing to strategic planning, business case development, operational improvements, data analysis, and financial decision-making in a dynamic, medium-sized business

 

Key Job Outputs:

  • Work with leadership: partner with the Managing Director and management team on business strategy and decision making
  • Drive strategic projects: lead and execute key initiatives supporting our growth and evolving business model
  • Support operations: coordinate improvements, track deliverables and help drive operational efficiency
  • Enable business success: prepare financial proposals, build models and presentations and provide insights for leadership
  • Facilitate communication: help structure management meetings, document actions and support cross-team alignment

Financial and analytical support

  • Convert strategic ideas into structured financial proposals
  • Ensure accurate reporting and analysis with internal teams
  • Build and manage Excel models and presentations for leadership

Strategic support

  • Conduct market analysis and support business case development
  • Drive and coordinate new initiatives and projects
  • Plan, monitor and report on strategic initiatives

Operational support

  • Manage small to medium scale business improvements
  • Track deliverables and drive execution

Management

  • Design effective decision making structures
  • Align sales, retention, partnerships and product teams with business goals
  • Facilitate key business meetings and ensure follow ups
  • Lead monthly management meetings and drive continuous improvement

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Proactive, adaptable and eager to take on a range of challenges in a collaborative team

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field

 

Experience:

  • Experience in consulting or a similar analytical, project-driven role (finance/operations with analytics background preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with PowerBI and MS Office (especially PowerPoint)
  • 3-5 years experience delivering projects and at lead one year leading initiatives with exposure to executive level reporting and strategic planning
