Advanced Healthcare Analyst 350 views

Purpose:

A JSE listed company invested in healthcare is seeking an Advanced Healthcare Analyst who will need to perform detailed analyses, build analytical models and provide strategic support to the business on their area of health risk responsibility and for the management and development of a small team of healthcare analysts

Minimum Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have a degree with majors in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Operational Research or Mathematical Statistics
• Qualified actuary with at least 1-year post-qualification experience, or holds a Master’s Degree in one of the above majors
• 5+ years of experience in an actuarial science or data science role
• SAS and/or SQL experience
• Advanced spreadsheet skills
• A thorough practical knowledge of data manipulation and management
• Experience in the medical scheme industry

Key Job Outputs:

• Analyse healthcare data and interpret results
• Advise internal clients and co-develop risk management products
• Develop and maintain analytical models
• Implement flexible data handling and reporting solutions using a variety of software platforms
• Manage and develop a team of analysts
• General analytic support
• Keep up to date on global health risk management approaches
