Job Overview
Purpose:
A leading pharmaceutical manufacturer and wholesaler, providing a dynamic range of products and services is seeking a Sales Representative who will represent, detail, sell and deliver primarily generic products to Doctors, Specialists and Pharmacies
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Business Degree
- 2 years’ experience as a medical sales representative
- Thorough product knowledge of own and competitor products
- Thorough understanding of the generic pharmaceutical environment
Key Job Outputs:
- Managing and detailing promoted products to selected healthcare practitioners
- Conducting and coordinating territory including time management
- Ensuring adherence to the product marketing strategy through management of stock levels, merchandising, promotional activity at pharmacies and dispensaries
- Ensuring adherence to current marketing codes of conduct and legislation
- Arranging and facilitating continuing medical education such as guest speakers, venues and invitations
- Conducting training at pharmacies and implementing related strategies
- Understanding company policy and procedures and ensuring adherence
- Completing expense claim sheets online
- Completing vehicle log books
- Correcting the utilisation of customer relationship marketing
- Maintaining customer relations in a cost-effective manner
- Managing call rates and coverage achievements in a six-week cycle as per set standards
